Computer Science MSc (Res)

**Overview**<br/>The course involves an extended (one-year) individual research project carried out as part of one of our established research groups, combined with selected taught modules. This programme offers students the chance to undertake an advanced masters programme through an extended research project.<br/><br/>This programme is suitable for outstanding students who have an interest in advanced research-based study in one of our research specialisms: Computer Vision; Cognitive Science; Risk and Information Management (RIM); Computer Science Theory; Game AI; and Computational Creativitiy. The expectation is that every graduate from the degree will publish at least one conference paper as part of their research. It will give you solid theoretical and practical research competence in your chosen field of study and will enhance your employability. Successful completion of the programme may also provide a route to further study at doctoral level or for a research position in industry.<br/><br/>**This programme will:**<br/>- Give you a basis for further study.<br/><br/><br/>- Allow you to specialize in an area of your choosing.<br/><br/><br/>- Give you a free choice from all the modules available, which are suitable to your project.<br/>
