It’s specifically designed for graduates with a background in the life sciences, biomedicine, health sciences, or allied health professionals interested in pursuing a challenging and exciting career in healthcare.<br/><br/><br/>- Excellent clinical placements, at a number of leading GP practices and NHS Trusts across London<br/><br/><br/>- Extensive network of academic and NHS collaborators around the UK<br/><br/><br/>- Strong foundation for careers which have excellent employment prospects, as the demand for physician associates outweighs the supply<br/><br/><br/>- During the training you will rotate between different clinical specialties and areas of practice and develop a varied ‘portfolio’ career with a strong patient focus.<br/><br/><br/>- Be placed on the Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PMVR) at the Faculty of Physician Associates, Royal College of Physicians<br/><br/><br/>This course will prepare you to become a physician associate; a collaborative healthcare professional with a generalist medical education. In the UK, physician associates work in a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, surgeons, and GPs, providing medical care to patients in hospital and in community settings.<br/><br/>The programme of this course is aligned with both the needs of healthcare employers and the strategic aims of the NHS.<br/><br/>This course is delivered through blended learning - a combination of classroom and online lectures, team-based and flipped classroom model - where you will digest the learning material before your lecture and classroom time will be used to deepen understanding through discussion with peers, and problem-solving activities facilitated by teachers. All clinical skills will be delivered face-to-face at Robin Brook Centre, St Bartholomew’s hospital.
