**About this Course:**<br/><br/>The HNC in Esports is designed to give students an overview of the Esports industry. The focus of the program is based around units that provide valuable skills that anyone working in the Esports industry requires. One of the exciting elements of this program is that the skills learnt on the HNC are transferable to many modern businesses. The focus on Operations Management promotes opportunities for students to gain the necessary skills to promote and run esport events.<br/><br/>Esports is an international sporting phenomenon within the global and digital marketplace, in 2021 the community had more than 3.24 billion video gamers across the globe.<br/><br/>Gaming as an overall demographic has a very large audience with the 14-25 age range, with a lot of young people aspiring for careers within the industry. Either as professional ESport athletes or within other roles such as event organising, coaching, video production and supporting roles.<br/><br/>**Modules Covered:**<br/><br/>Students will develop knowledge and occupational competencies specific to Operations management in Esport.<br/><br/><br/>- Esport Ecosystem<br/><br/><br/>- Skills and Tactics Analysis<br/><br/><br/>- Event Planning and Delivery<br/><br/><br/>- Planning an Esports project <br/><br/><br/>- Entrepreneurial Ventures<br/><br/><br/>- Branding and Sponsorships<br/><br/><br/>- Tournament operations<br/><br/><br/>- Game Design Philosophy<br/><br/><br/>- Governance and Legislation<br/><br/><br/>**Progression:**<br/><br/><br/>- On completion of this qualification you will be able to progress onto Level 5 Higher National diploma in Esports or enter employment.<br/><br/><br/>- Employment within the industry, such as Professional Gaming, Coaching, Business Management, Journalism and Content Creation, Sales, PR and Marketing, Production, and Product Management.<br/><br/><br/>**Entry Requirements:**<br/><br/><br/>* GCSE grades at A* to C (or equivalent) and/or 9 to 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English <br/><br/><br/>* BTEC Level 3 qualification in Esports or equivalent <br/><br/><br/>If you do not meet these requirements please contact us as we are able to consider applicants with other qualifications, relevant experience or personal circumstances on an individual basis.
