As a career progression route and conversion course, this programme is specifically designed to provide you with the core academic and subject-specific skills needed to gain access to postgraduate training courses for a career in psychology and in particular as a basis to pursue careers in teaching and with specific age groups.

You learn through:

- lectures

- seminars

- workshops

- presentations

- self-directed study

**Applied learning - Live projects**
Lectures on the course are primarily focused on core knowledge and theoretical content, whilst seminars and workshops provide the opportunity for you to apply understanding through discussion and practical-based activities. This will especially suit those interested in a career in academia. In addition, there will be many other opportunities for volunteering available via the wider University and through organisations outside of the University.

**Networking opportunities**
The course helps you make the necessary links between the skills you are developing and those that are required by professionals in psychology. To this end, a series of tutorials are offered that promote reflective skills as well as more fundamental employability skills such as identifying the kind of jobs that the course opens up to you, writing CVs, etc. You will also meet alumni to learn from their career progression route.
