**Please check the Sheffield Hallam University website for the latest information.** <br/><br/>**Course summary**<br/><br/><br/>- Gain in-depth, Masters-level knowledge and detailed understanding of the principles and practice of human nutrition.<br/><br/><br/>- Develop sector-specific competence including financial, organisational and applied public health management skills for employment in the nutrition and the public health sector.<br/><br/><br/>- Enhance your ability to critically analyse current and developing theories.<br/><br/><br/>Nutritionists within the public health sector play an important role in promoting good health and preventing diet-related disease and ill-health in the population. On this course you will study modules that provide you with a solid foundation in nutritional science, human physiology, biochemistry, behaviour change, research skills and public and population nutrition. You will be supported to identify areas for personal development in your action plans and identify objectives and activities to undertake which are tailored to your specific needs.<br/><br/>Typical activities include work shadowing/volunteering, attending nutrition and food-related conferences, events and workshops and undertaking online courses.
