Community Coaching HNC

The Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Community Coaching develops professional, self-reflecting individuals who are able to meet the demands of employers in the UK Coaching sector. <br/>The qualification improves the career prospects of students, equipping them with the community coaching skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to achieve high performance in the UK coaching environment. <br/>Upon completion of this 1 year course, students can progress to employment or progress to higher qualifications such as Higher National Diplomas in Sports Science (Coaching Science) or direct entry to the 2nd year of a honours degree programme in a related subject area.<br/>The BTEC HNC in Community Coaching for England maps into the occupational standards for a Sports Coach (Community Coach) and has been designed in collaboration with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).<br/>This course has been strategically put together with support from employers and previous students to create a pathway that enables students to advance into a number of different careers in sport coaching and sports and exercise science.<br/>Our strong partnerships with employers is a unique selling point, as these partners are involved in course design and delivery - providing real-life approaches to assessments, for example live briefs, masterclasses, being on presentation panels etc.
