Candidates are generally working in technician or support roles and this course supports student’s development towards design in office roles such as structural engineers, highway engineers, geotechnical engineers or management positions.<br/>The Level 4 BTEC Higher National Certificate provides a solid grounding in construction and the built environment, vendor accredited certification and Professional Body membership, upon which students can build, should they decide to continue their studies beyond the Certificate stage.<br/>For example, progression to the Level 5 BTEC Higher National Diploma allows students to specialise by committing to specific career paths and progression routes to a top-up at Level 6. In addition, the qualifications may provide links to industry-related and employer-supported apprenticeship schemes that can provide further opportunities for enhanced employability.<br/><br/>A two-year part time course with a one-day attendance per week on Wednesdays. Or, a one-year full time course with a two-day attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Classes start at 8.45 am and finish at 4.15 pm
