They care for patients and clients in a variety of hospital and primary care settings. These include acute medical and surgical wards, operating theatres, Emergency Departments, high-dependency environments, nursing homes and district nursing. During clinical placements, students promote health maintenance and restoration.

As an adult nurse, you may decide to work in a hospital or community setting. Our degree in adult nursing prepares you for the role and responsibilities as a registered nurse. We provide you with the skills to meet the needs of patients and their significant others. This will include experience in the hospital, independent and the home environment. You will learn accountability for the important role you will play in their lives. We prepare you to apply for registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Our degree will help you achieve the outcomes identified in the NMC Standards for Pre-registration Nurse Education (2019).

We offer either a hospital or community route through the Adult Nursing programme in order for you to tailor your placement experience to your future career aspirations.
