Study for a Masters in Education.**<br/><br/>The content has been developed in line with current and forward-thinking approaches to education. The themes and subjects in each module have been developed to embed an inclusive and diverse approach, ensuring that the learners can explore a wide breath of topics that promote cultural, diverse, and inclusive ideas. Competence based learning forms the approach and structure of the programme and assessments, providing the opportunity to demonstrate and critique development, while underpinning this with critical application of theory and contemporary ideologies. This will provide the development of skills to enable the learners to prepare for the ever-changing world of education, the Fourth Industrial Age and building an inclusive identity in their own context and beyond. <br/><br/>The programme includes the vision of developing innovative and confident educators in a variety of roles. This sits in line with the institution’s vision of developing inspirational learners who are part of their community and contribute to the economic and cultural aspects of society. <br/><br/>The module themes and concepts bring the programme forward for education now and in the future. It has been influenced to be a continuation of the principles of the new Diploma in Teaching and Early careers pathway for the new Initial Teacher Training qualifications and standards. This ensures it meets requirements for a new era of educators, leaders, and autonomous teachers. The values and ethos that underpin the programme is to develop educators, leaders, and autonomous teachers for the future of education. To build confidence and resilience to support the demands of current and future education to maintain a highly skilled workforce. Examples of this include – Promoting a passion and curiosity for learning as an educator and being able to embed this into curriculum design and delivery. Fostering and maintaining high expectations of educators and learners to inspire and enthuse their academic and personal growth. <br/><br/>Critically exploring the importance of educators demonstrating, maintaining, and evidencing current and forward-thinking pedagogical skills, deep subject specialist knowledge, understanding of curriculum design and leadership and awareness of educational practices. <br/>Being able to have confidence in evidence informed practice, ideas, and skills to be a reflexive educator and approaching research and evidence with a critical eye developing a range of teaching methodologies for their own practice, or that of an organisation from a strategic approach. This will include areas of assessment, research, effective integration of technology and beyond. <br/>Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion to be able to be proactive and responsive to individuality within curriculum. The changes have been a process of feedback from students on previous cohorts. This has been discussed and embedded into the programme. This was conducted through module evaluations, informal feedback from learners which is conducted as a collaborative approach to the curriculum. <br/>External feedback has been used from discussions with some employers of previous students who have successfully completed the programme and what areas have specifically influenced their practice. This has been considered in what themes have been kept within the modules. <br/><br/>A specific module has been developed to focus and explore on the enhancement of technology, focussing on a fast paced emergence of technology to support learning skills and knowledge, Artificial Intelligence and modes of educational technology that brings together a skill set for the future.
