To achieve this, having some previous leadership experience would be a desirable asset. <br/><br/>The educational aims of the Sport and Physical Activity masters support the mission statement of the University to provide a supportive yet challenging teaching and learning environment aimed at fully enhancing your knowledge, professional skills and employability. To achieve this, the educational aims of the programme are as follows: <br/><br/><br/>1. To provide the opportunity to explore, from a leadership perspective, the rationale for providing sport and physical activity locally, nationally and internationally. This will offer the potential to focus on examining the emphasis on developing sport and physical activity participation interventions and the role and delivery of sport in supporting social change and impact through which personal, community, national and international development objectives may be achieved.<br/><br/><br/>2. To provide the opportunity to explore the processes involved in leading sport and physical organisations locally, nationally and internationally. This will allow an examination of the core leadership practices associated with sport and physical activity organisations. This will include investigating and studying the core knowledge, skill sets and leadership qualities necessary to implement strategies designed to achieve a variety of sport and social outcomes. <br/>
