It is structured to reflect the changing world of business. This degree combines the latest research and thinking with the philosophy that future leaders of industry need a sound and broad-based business education.

Modules around leadership and change management ensure future employers will recognise that you chose a degree from a premier UK institution that recognised these often overlooked skills. Placements and Internships are individually selected to suit your interests and career aspirations.

-We are ranked 19th in the Complete University Guide (Complete University Guide, 2024)
-Birmingham Business School is consistently found in international ranking tables and accredited by leading bodies, AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB. The triple-crown accreditation confirms our position within an elite group.
-We are the 3rd most targeted university of top UK employers (High Fliers Research 2023).
-Our strong links with industry mean that rigorous undergraduate academic study is combined with a real practical focus, leading to excellent job opportunities for our students.

**Your programme of study**
In your three years of study you will follow the modules offered on our BSc Business Management programme. Your first year is a compulsory foundation year, introducing you to key areas in the study of business. In your second and final years you will have considerable choice within the themes structure of the programme. The actual modules offered changes from time to time in order to best reflect changes in the world of business.

In your second year you will work with the placements team who will assist you, through one-to-one support, events and workshops, in applying for your Year In Industry placement in your third year. Your placement search involves a lot of hard work, but many employers actively seek out our students and most students achieved well-paid, prestigious placements throughout the UK. During your Year in Industry you will write a placement essay, report and reflective diaries which counts towards 12.5% of your degree. Your placement year is conditional upon your achieving at least 2:1 (60%) in your second year. You can transfer to the three-year BSc Business Management if you decide not to do a placement.

Depending on the options you choose you may be able to gain partial exemption from the examinations of professional bodies such as ICAEW, CIMA and ACCA.
