**Designed to help you develop critical understanding, the course will equip you with the engineering knowledge and practical skills necessary to develop and implement creative solutions to engineering problems encountered in renewable energy capture and conversion, sustainable system design and analysis, project development and implementation.**

- Throughout this course, you will make use of lab and field-testing facilities for measuring and monitoring the performance of different renewable energy systems, such as wind turbines, photovoltaic power systems and heat pumps. You will also learn to use tools for component and system design, simulation of the performance and monitoring of renewable energy systems.

- These tools include Matlab/Simulink, GH WindFarmer and WAsP for wind farm design, PVsyst for photovoltaic system design and Labview for system monitoring. You’ll also have the option to experience a Professional/Work Placement in addition to the taught course.

**Why study with us**
- Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

- You’ll benefit from our new £35 million Engineering Innovation Centre (EIC), which provides an integrated space for teaching and research with direct links to industry

- Through our facilities at the EIC you’ll get the chance to work on live, real-world projects with commercial partners in state-of-the-art facilities
