You can also study this degree full-time: Educational Assistive Technology MSc<br/><br/>Assistive Technology (AT) supports students with a broad range of learning difficulties, physical disabilities and/or sensory impairments. These range from high incidence, lower impact disabilities (for example, dyslexia, dyspraxia) through to low incidence, higher impact disabilities (for example, cerebral palsy, autism). <br/><br/>This course has been developed to address a global need for the professionalisation of the ‘Assistive Technologist’ role within all levels of education provision.<br/><br/>You will qualify as an Educational Assistive Technologist (EduAT). You will learn about:<br/><br/>the role tasks and responsibilities of the Educational Assistive Technologist <br/>Assistive Technology (AT) solutions<br/>assessment for AT<br/>AT in educational programmes<br/>specialist and mainstream AT solutions <br/>AT partner relationships<br/>models of disability<br/>therapeutic considerations of disability and the learning environment <br/>teaching practice<br/>This course is primarily for teachers, therapists and technologists who are seeking to develop and enhance their ability to support learners who require AT. It will equip you with the skills, knowledge and working methodology needed to practise as an educational assistive technologist.<br/><br/>We have an international reputation for accessibility and the development of digital assistive technology. You will interact with expert users of AT within our unique User Centre.
