International Relations is the study of the interactions and changing nature of relations between two or more nations.<br/><br/>Our master’s course will teach you how to analyse global political dynamics by exploring how international relations are changing.<br/><br/>With a diverse set of research and teaching specialisms in Politics and International Relations, we offer a variety of modules that allow you to tailor your studies to your interests. You can also select modules from other Energy, Environment and Society postgraduate courses. This allows you to broaden your educational opportunities.<br/><br/>We examine traditional state actors as well as a variety of intergovernmental and non-governmental actors to give you a solid understanding of the world as a whole and the key global issues and challenges facing us today, such as:<br/><br/><br/>- climate change<br/><br/><br/>- human rights and mass atrocities<br/><br/><br/>- the re-emergence of Russia as a global political force<br/><br/><br/>- the shifting terrain of identity and communal conflict<br/><br/><br/>- terrorism in the Middle East<br/><br/><br/>- organised crime<br/><br/><br/>You will gain a thorough grounding in the academic study of international politics, focusing on theoretical approaches and methods.
