Our academics are authors of core textbooks, and many have leading reputations within their field.<br/><br/>The LLM by research is a one year research degree. You write a 30,000-40,000 word thesis on an area of law or legal theory of your choice.<br/><br/>The School of Law offers supervision for research degrees in most subject areas of the law and supports a variety of legal research methods, from doctrinal to socio-legal, comparative and historical research. Individual staff pages also contain details of the areas of law in which each academic is willing to offer supervision.
