**Overview**<br/><br/>Wherever your interests lie in the vast world of biological sciences, our biological sciences foundation year will pique your curiosity and help you to answer important scientific questions. You’ll learn about the core subjects relating to the study of life and the processes and interactions which drive it. <br/><br/>At UEA, you’ll have contact with academics and researchers from across the Faculty of Science, many of whom are world-leaders in their chosen research areas. You’ll receive broad-ranging and in-depth instruction from highly-skilled lecturers and researchers. Our world-class labs will give you hands-on research skills. You’ll cover current scientific topics that have significant societal implications, such as the changing global climate, the emergence of infectious diseases, and the challenging field of bioethics. You’ll be encouraged to develop your critical thinking skills by evaluating sources of scientific evidence and including such sources in your own written work. <br/><br/>At UEA, were uniquely partnered with the Norwich Research Park, providing you with access to a learning experience that is dynamic and fascinating – and fueled by research that is happening right here, right now. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend many talks by guest lecturers and speakers doing research at the forefront of biological science. <br/><br/>After you successfully complete the foundation year, you’ll have the option of continuing on to a number of different biological sciences courses, with options for taking a placement year, studying abroad, and completing a Master’s degree. <br/><br/>**Disclaimer**<br/><br/>Course details are subject to change.
