**Overview**<br/><br/>Electrical and electronic engineers play a vital role in shaping the future of our society, in numerous sectors transport and power generation to heating and cooling and more. This course will develop your capacity for innovation, collaboration, and ingenuity to help you tackle society’s biggest challenges. <br/><br/>You’ll follow an integrated programme for the first year, giving you the knowledge, skills, and industrial connections to support your aspirations. From the second year, you’ll specialise in electrical and electronic engineering, refining your theoretical knowledge and practical skills. You’ll spend your third year in industry, applying your learning in a practical context, before returning to UEA to complete your studies. <br/><br/>From day one, you’ll have access to industry-standard facilities in Productivity East, including computer aided design (CAD) stations, 3D printers, subtractive manufacturing technology, and several collaborative robots (or cobots). In the electronics lab, you’ll conduct practical experiments on our electrical machine test rigs and learn how to model and analyse different engineering systems using industry-standard software. <br/><br/>You’ll benefit from our connections with industry right from the start of your course. Our annual Select Partnership Scheme is an exclusive event for engineering students, attracting several prestigious employers each year.
