French and Portuguese MA (Hons)

This flexible joint honours programme enables you to study two complementary European languages in their global cultural contexts. <br/><br/>Both languages are among the 10 most widely spoken in the world, opening up career opportunities in Europe, Africa and the Americas. <br/><br/>Most of our graduates started as complete beginners in Portuguese. Through intensive language study, including a year abroad, you will have the opportunity to acquire the same level of spoken and written Portuguese as you gain in French.<br/><br/>In addition to your language classes, you will explore aspects of French-speaking (francophone) and Portuguese-speaking (lusophone) culture.
