Law and Social Anthropology LLB (Hons)

Our joint programmes allow you to study law alongside another academic discipline. Over four years of study, you will take a range of courses from both the Law School and the School of Social and Political Science.<br/><br/>The joint LLB Law and Social Anthropology programme aims to promote advanced knowledge and understanding of the theory, concepts and rules of the law.<br/><br/>The programme will also enable you to study human conduct and thought, their variations, and the common humanity that underlies them. <br/><br/>**What is social anthropology?**<br/><br/>Social anthropology is the comparative study of human behaviour and ideas in their social contexts. Societies around the world vary enormously in their:<br/><br/><br/>* social norms <br/><br/><br/>* cultures <br/><br/><br/>* religions <br/><br/><br/>* political forms <br/><br/><br/>Their individual members also display a corresponding diversity of ideas and behaviours.
