This Masters programme in Applied Neuropsychology is designed for those who have qualified in clinical psychology overseas, and wish to continue studying mental health.<br/><br/>**WHY THIS PROGRAMME**<br/><br/><br/>- Top 10 in the UK for Psychology (Complete University Guide 2021).<br/><br/><br/>- Developed in partnership with NHS Education for Scotland and offers specialist knowledge for clinical psychologists working in the area of clinical neuropsychology.<br/><br/><br/>- Strong tradition of research in clinical neuroscience and neuropsychology, making it the perfect place to study Applied Neuropsychology.<br/><br/><br/>Main Campus Location:<br/>The main location of this programme is at Gartnavel Hospital in the West of Glasgow, not far from the bustling West End and Gilmorehill Campus.<br/><br/>**PROGRAMME STRUCTURE**<br/><br/>The majority of students on this programme come to Glasgow for a full year of study. This will provide you with the opportunity to carry out a research project which will usually be based in one of our research groups.<br/><br/>All our lectures are given by subject specialists, including clinical academics at the University as well as many other specialists from around the UK and occasionally internationally.<br/>You will take a total of eight courses, arranged into blocks of teaching. Each teaching block lasts two weeks and covers two courses.<br/><br/>**Courses**<br/>CONTEXT AND PERSPECTIVES IN CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY<br/>PROFESSIONAL ISSUES AND RESEARCH DESIGN IN CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY<br/>NEUROSCIENCES FOR CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY<br/>EPILEPSY, SEIZURE AND SLEEP DISORDERS AND CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY<br/>ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY AND CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY<br/>DEGENERATIVE CONDITIONS AND CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY<br/>STROKE AND CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY<br/>PAEDIATRIC NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS AND CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY<br/><br/>There will also be a research project for MSc students.<br/>CAREER PROSPECTS<br/>Previous students have gained specialised senior roles in Western and Eastern European countries.<br/><br/>These have been in NGOs and state agencies specialising in brain injury services.<br/><br/>Graduates work in roles such as Senior Assistant Clinical Psychologist and Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist.<br/><br/>There is also the option to progress on to PhD research.
