The programme applies ideas from political science, sociology and economics to understand how governments shape their responses to address people’s needs, welfare and wellbeing. The Social & Public Policy Teaching Team was awarded the prestigious Social Policy Association/Policy Press Outstanding Teaching Award 2020, in recognition of UofG’s excellence and innovation in teaching in social policy in the UK (SPA 2020).
