With a strong foundation in rural studies, CCRI has complementary expertise in urban and peri-urban planning linked to food provisioning, regeneration and enterprise.

We welcome applications from individuals who want their research to benefit public and private sector partners or civil society networks. Due to our links with the WGSSS, postgraduate opportunities with the CCRI will be competitively advertised.

**Study style**
Postgraduates at CCRI are welcomed as members of the whole research staff. As well as self-managed study with expert guidance from internal and external supervisors, students attend research training lectures at University of Gloucestershire in their first year.

They can access the University’s ongoing training and development programme for research students. Work placements with WGSSS sponsors will be arranged to suit an individual’s research needs.
