Advanced and Specialist Healthcare (Dental Educational Practice) PG Cert/PG Dip/MSc are part-time, work-related courses designed specifically for registered dental professionals. The courses provide the route for National Health Service (NHS) Health Education England (HEE) ‘Mentorship for Training Supervisors’ and other appropriately qualified students to achieve from a PG Certificate up to a full Masters qualification. The course is studied part-time at the Medway campus.<br/><br/>**Overview**<br/><br/>Advanced Specialist Healthcare (Dental Educational Practice) PG Cert/PG Dip/MSc are a joint collaboration between the University of Kent and National Health Service (NHS) Health Education England (HEE).<br/><br/>Students enter via an approved articulation arrangement route having gained 30 credits from the approved Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) from the successful completion of a NHS HEE Mentorship for Training Supervisors’ (or equivalent).<br/><br/>Students who successfully complete the one compulsory module will be eligible for the award of PG Certificate in Advanced Specialist Healthcare (Dental Educational Practice).<br/><br/>Those who successfully complete the PG Certificate may then choose to continue on to the PG Diploma and MSc, either by negotiating further HEE sponsorship or by self-funding routes.<br/><br/>**Who is the course for?**<br/>This course is for dental professionals who have successfully completed a NHS HEE ‘Mentorship for Training Supervisors’ (or equivalent). This articulated pathway has been specifically designed to meet the needs of qualified, registered dental professionals, allowing them to study part-time while working and managing other personal responsibilities.<br/><br/>The course offers:<br/>- an innovative, flexible, work-related approach to studies<br/><br/><br/>- the opportunity to acquire the academic, educational and professional skills necessary to meet the evolving workforce needs of contemporary practice<br/><br/><br/>- a multi-disciplinary learning environment<br/><br/><br/>- a module structure, providing the opportunity to gain credit for individual modules<br/><br/><br/>- access to University resources and specialist academic and professional services.<br/><br/><br/>Accreditation of Prior Experiential and/or Certificated Learning or Credit Transfer may be available.<br/>**Requests for RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) or Credit Transfer**<br/>You are encouraged to enquire about converting prior learning achievements into University of Kent academic credit via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). PG Certificate teaching is structured around a series of extended taught weekends (on average three weekends a year at our Medway campus), consisting of formal taught sessions, seminars, guest speakers and action-learning sessions.<br/><br/>During the sessions, you explore your existing educational work practice in a module designed to help you review and analyse current debates and professional challenges relevant to your specific area.
