International Strategic Business Management BSc (Hons)

The BSc (Hons) International Strategic Business Management is aimed at students who have an interest in developing knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of international business management and in particular, who are looking to pursue an international career in business management. It seeks to give students a learning experience that allows them to develop proficiencies that create effective managerial behaviour in different organisations in today’s changing business environment. The curriculum and learning and teaching strategy are complemented by guest lectures and ‘live’ workshops to promote independent learning and increasing their employability skills for the future.<br/><br/>Year 1 provides you with a good understanding of the foundations of business. Years 2 and 3 gives you a thorough grounding in the more specialist concepts and applications of strategic management. The programme provides the intellectual underpinnings required for a career in a rapidly changing work environment, a rigorous approach to self-awareness and personal development and a significant exposure to the world of work and its current demands through work experinece opportunities.<br/><br/>The degree is ideal for those interested in a future career in International Business or Strategy. The programme offers students a thorough grounding in business and the more specialist concepts and applications of international management and strategy. Through the learning experiences offered, and the skills and competences gained, students will understand effective managerial behaviour developed in today’s complex organizations and turbulent international business environments. Students will have an opportunity to qualify for the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership or the Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management dependent on successful completion of modules which are mapped to one of these CMI awards.<br/><br/>The emphasis in the course design has been to provide this strong business degree with a focus on employability. The course offers an excellent grounding in knowledge of the key aspects of business management that are covered by a range of modules from the Management and Marketing subject area. In turn, the degree seeks to inculcate in students many of the skills and competences in research, presentation, critical analysis, problem solving, team building and entrepreneurship, which all together should be helpful for future employment opportunities
