Introductory modules explore the concepts of enterprise and entrepreneurship and their role in society. You’ll examine how enterprise is seen around the world, and how different geographical and economic contexts create challenges for new ventures.<br/><br/>You’ll hear first-hand from successful entrepreneurs during guest lectures and consider their experience of the latest topics and debates. You’ll also develop your understanding of research methods in business and enterprise studies.<br/><br/>The course has a practical focus, and you will work on a range of projects that allow you to gain real experience – you’ll create a business plan for a new venture and deliver a consultancy project for an established business or social enterprise.<br/><br/>In the final semester, you’ll complete a dissertation project on a research question of your choice - this can be used to explore your own ideas for a new business venture or social enterprise, look at how best to support or grow an existing firm, or explore a research topic related to your ambitions.
