Course Overview - Geophysics BSc (Hons)

Geophysics is the application of physics to planet Earth to understand processes such as the generation of Earths magnetic field, motion of Earths tectonic plates, and the movement and structure of the oceans and atmosphere. This has become fundamentally important in order to understand problems such as space weather, forecast earthquake and volcanic hazards, as well as searching for resources, from freshwater to minerals.

Pass 60 credits overall with 45 credits at Level 3, 30 credits with Distinction and the remaining 15 credits with Merit or above.
