You’ll critically examine the key theories and facts that underpin current consultancy practice, as well as the latest issues and management trends worldwide.<br/><br/>Alongside this you’ll be introduced to the management consulting process, including the consulting life cycle, the linkages to strategic management and the research skills needed to successfully carry out consulting projects.<br/><br/>You’ll also be able to choose from a range of optional modules that help you underpin this understanding with knowledge in related areas of management, such as strategic change and leadership, decision-making, entrepreneurship, people development, diversity management and business analytics. There are also options focused on the future of work in terms of sustainability and climate change and the automation of work and digitalisation in organisations. These areas will complement the development of core consultancy skills.<br/><br/>The course culminates in a consultancy project, during which you’ll undertake applied fieldwork with opportunities to work with an external organisation or University research centres. This provides a live opportunity to learn about the practicalities of consultancy work, including ethical, research and professional skills.
