The Year in China offers undergraduate students the opportunity to spend one year at our joint venture, Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), following XJTLUs BA China Studies degree classes. A levelB,B,B UCAS TariffAccess to HE DiplomaD:30,M:15 Pass Access to HE Diploma in a relevant subject (e.g. humanities or languages), 30 Level 3 credits at Distinction, 15 at Merit International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme30 30 points, with no score less than 4 Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)DDD BTEC applications are encouraged. We evaluate each BTEC application on its merits. Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)H2,H2,H2,H3,H3,H3 GCSE/National 4/National 5GCSE Mathematics and English at grade 4/C required. Applicants with equivalent qualifications or who do not meet these GCSE requirements will be considered on an individual basis according to their circumstances. Extended ProjectB Applicants who offer the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and meet our offer criteria will be made the standard offer, plus an alternative offer. This will be at one A Level grade lower plus a grade B in the EPQ, for example the offer would be BBB or BBC plus B in the EPQ. Please note that Humanities and Social Sciences Honours Select programmes which have a Management, Law or Sociology component will not accept the EPQ.
