In this interdisciplinary programme, youll look at environmental, social, economic and political factors that shape sustainable development and translate theory into practical outcomes.<br/><br/>Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, our MSc Global Environmental Sustainability focuses on sustainability challenges and how we can develop localised solutions by looking at a range of place-based case studies. Through a combination of course content and your final project, youll be able to develop a range of transferrable skills that expands your career options, such as:<br/><br/>model scenario interpretation and systems thinking,<br/>data gathering and analysis,<br/>problem articulation and solution design,<br/>literature and sustainability plan evaluation,<br/>research communication,<br/>GIS (geographical information systems),<br/>critical appraisal of the ethics of sustainability solutions,<br/>interdisciplinary thinking to develop solutions for action<br/>You’ll be part of a diverse and international student community, which will allow you to expand your global connections. This is also an excellent opportunity to broaden your horizons on global environmental sustainability through peer learning.<br/><br/>As masters students and therefore members of the universitys research community, you will also have access to research seminars and lectures hosted by Nottingham Geospatial Institute and Centre for Environmental Geochemistry and the school’s research groups.
