**Overview**<br/>If you’re a self-motivated independent thinker with a passion for research and fashion, this MA Fashion Marketing degree will help you become a creative innovator with the knowledge and skills you need to make an impact in the fashion industry. <br/><br/>Discover concepts, functions and processes of fashion buying and merchandising, alongside the theory and practice of marketing management, and explore new and emerging communication practices for fashion and luxury businesses.<br/><br/>You’ll learn to gather intelligence and insight from a global and cultural landscape, and transform this into exciting marketing strategies and communications across print, media and digital platforms. <br/><br/>You’ll gain a solid foundation in marketing theory and practice, and learn to apply this knowledge to the global fashion marketplace. <br/><br/>As you build your entrepreneurship skills, you’ll complete an independent final project on a topic you choose.<br/><br/>During the course youll have opportunities to attend talks introducing you to a wide range of brands, sectors, expertise, and innovation topics, so you’ll graduate ready to engage in contemporary conversations in fashion. Past speakers have included Thomas Slide, Director for Media and Technology at Mintel. Thomas presented a look at some of the most important consumer trends relating to technology, from the adoption of new products to the way devices fit into our daily lives, including an analysis of how consumers feel about technology and the many ways it is transforming the manner we interact with and experience the world. <br/><br/>You can also attend field trips where well explore flagship stores and commercial spaces, looking at how disruptive design has affected luxury flagship stores in the twenty first century and examining contemporary challenges imposed by digital innovations.<br/><br/>You’ll study within the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries and the Faculty of Business and Law. <br/><br/>**Eligibility**<br/>This course accepts UK, EU, and international students.<br/><br/>**Course highlights**<br/>- Network with industry professionals from a range of fashion companies<br/><br/><br/>- Gather and use global data to inform your marketing decisions<br/><br/><br/>- Explore a range of contemporary fashion and business topics<br/><br/><br/>- Have the option to complete a work placement for 6 months after your taught studies<br/><br/><br/>- Hear from industry speakers, including guests from Size? Footwear, Lazy Oaf, Depop, Burberry, LVMH, and H&M<br/><br/><br/>- Complete live projects with companies such as Size? Footwear<br/><br/><br/>- Build your portfolio with competitions and events including Graduate Fashion Week, Artsthread, Fashion Revolution, D&AD <br/><br/><br/>- Attend field trips, including to flagship stores and commercial spaces<br/><br/><br/>- Have the chance to gain professional qualifications in areas such as Google Analytics and Google Ads<br/><br/><br/>- Present your research to a student-led symposium as part of a research-based unit, which can help prepare you for potential PhD study<br/>
