We teach the use of innovative concepts and methodologies to provide an ideal grounding for an international career in structural design and construction.<br/><br/>**Course description**<br/>On this course youll discover a range of modern and innovative construction materials, analysis and design methods.<br/><br/>Youll study the crucial infrastructure that we all depend on, learning how to make it safer, more efficient and sustainable, and better able to withstand earthquakes, fire and explosions.<br/><br/>**Accreditation**<br/>This degree is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) comprising of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institute of Highway Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and the Permanent Way Institution on behalf of the Engineering Council as meeting the academic requirement for Further Learning for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).<br/><br/>To hold accredited qualifications for CEng registration, candidates must also hold a Bachelor (Hons) degree that has been accredited as partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
