Aeronautical engineers apply their knowledge and skills to every aspect of air vehicles; from design, development, manufacture, flight testing and certification, to preserving airworthiness and sustainable aircraft operations.<br/><br/>This BEng (Hons) Aeronautical Engineering degree was developed in close consultation with industry professional bodies, including the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) to boost your employability. <br/><br/>Youll study the engineering principles needed for a career in the aerospace industry, and youll gain practical experience on campus in our Aerospace Centre. Weather permitting, youll also take to the skies with flight test lessons in your final year.<br/><br/>Work placements and experience are strongly endorsed to complement your studies, along with visits to sites such as GE Aviation Wales, Airbus Filton, and British Airways Maintenance Cardiff (BAMC).<br/><br/>The Aeronautical Engineering programme is based at Treforest. USW Treforest is surrounded by green open spaces.
