You’ll critically analyse development, democratisation processes and social change alongside gaining creative and technical media production skills.<br/><br/>You focus on media as tools for global, social and political change. There is a a strong emphasis on the role of civil society and alternative media organisations.<br/><br/>Activist media, citizen journalism, participatory media, specialised broadcast media and social media are successfully used to inform and engage audiences outside established channels of communication for issues such as:<br/>- social inequality<br/><br/><br/>- human rights<br/><br/><br/>- gender issues<br/><br/><br/>- environmental change.<br/><br/><br/>You’ll have 24-hour access to the latest professional-grade equipment and post-production facilities.<br/><br/>**About Sussex**<br/>Our courses, research, culture and campus aim to stimulate, excite and challenge.
