At Sussex, we pride ourselves on our strengths in critical and theoretical thinking about music. We do interdisciplinary research, drawing from fields as diverse as gender studies, critical race theory, performance studies, technological engineering and informatics.<br/><br/>You’ll join a vibrant community of active researchers and be encouraged to take part in our regular research groups and symposia. We welcome applicants aspiring to produce a challenging and original dissertation. You’ll also have access to our specialist facilities.<br/><br/>We understand that deciding where and what to study is a very important decision.
