On this course, you’ll be based in the School of Life Sciences and become a valuable part of our community. Our expertise spans a wide range of approaches to modern neuroscience including:<br/><br/><br/>- sensory processing<br/><br/><br/>- neural circuits<br/><br/><br/>- synapses and ion channels<br/><br/><br/>- neurodegeneration<br/><br/><br/>The MRes has a strong research focus. You’ll be taught and supervised by our research-intensive faculty:<br/><br/><br/>- our core modules encourage you to explore cellular and systems neuroscience<br/><br/><br/>- a range of options allows you to choose topics that interest you the most<br/><br/><br/>- you’ll gain half of the total course credits working on a research project within one of our research groups.<br/><br/><br/>On the MSc, you’ll be taught and supervised by our research-intensive faculty:<br/><br/><br/>- our core modules encourage you to explore cellular and systems neuroscience<br/><br/><br/>- a range of options allows you to choose topics that interest you the most<br/><br/><br/>- the research project is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for you to work closely with one of our research groups.<br/><br/><br/>On graduation, you’ll have valuable transferrable skills for a career in the science sector and beyond.<br/><br/>We understand that deciding where and what to study is a very important decision.
