The course moves away from the traditional teaching of the social sciences to embrace the contemporary and innovative topics and practices of 21st-century criminal justice.<br/><br/>Alongside studying Criminology, your course will have a political edge, in that your studies will be contextualised within a wider focus on Westminster, European, and global political philosophies, systems, and challenges. Indeed, in your Criminology with Politics degree not only will you be able to explore the research areas that interest you, but you will also experience a genuine taste of the work you could be doing after you graduate.<br/><br/>**Key features**<br/><br/>-Develop your knowledge and critical understanding of crime and its impact on victims and wider society in the context of contemporary Westminster, European, and global politics.<br/><br/>-Our Criminology with Politics course allows you to develop your understanding of the legal framework and criminal justice responses to crime. <br/><br/>-Mandatory modules at each level of your study to help you develop subject knowledge in Westminster, European and global politics.<br/><br/>-Our teaching is both exciting and innovative and includes lively in-class discussions, authentic learning opportunities, guest speakers and group trips.<br/><br/>-We also offer additional opportunities for you to engage in, these include the Worcester Criminology Society, a peer mentoring scheme and social nights.<br/><br/>-Regular trips including an annual trip to Parliament in Westminster, as well as regular socials, local lectures and events, and extracurricular activities.<br/><br/>-Modules and assessments are coursework based with an emphasis on experiential learning and honing the key skills that employers value, helping you to increase your employability prospects.<br/><br/>**Why the University of Worcester?**<br/><br/>The University of Worcester is a campus university, meaning everything you need is on site.
