A nationally recognised Level 4 computing qualification, the HNC is ideal for those who have started or are planning to move into, a career in the computing industry, or who wish to progress onto a degree programme. The course also aims to develop skills such as communication literacy, critical thinking, analysis, reasoning, and interpretation, which are crucial for gaining employment and developing academic competence.

This course is an HTQ, the latest industry-focussed Level 4 and 5 qualifications developed by awarding bodies in collaboration with employers and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE).

The benefit of studying an approved HTQ is that the knowledge, skills, and behaviours that you acquire are what employers value most. This means that on completion of your course, you will be ready to enter employment or to progress within your chosen occupation or sector.
