The purpose of this programme of study in Construction Management is to develop you as a professional, self-reflecting individual able to meet the demands of employers in the construction sector and adapt to a constantly changing world.<br/><br/>The southwest region has seen a huge growth in major construction projects including – Hinckley Point C, and the electrification of train lines demanding construction managers are ready for the latest approached for major projects.<br/><br/>Within this programme you will be given a broad introduction to <br/>construction and different construction management functions. You will gain a wide range of construction knowledge linked to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios.<br/><br/>You will be involved in vocational activities that will help to develop your behaviours (the attitudes and approaches required for a competence) and transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, research and analysis. <br/><br/>By the end of this programme you will have sound knowledge of the basic concepts of construction; and be competent in a range of subject-specific skills as well as in general skills and qualities relevant to key areas of construction
