The course is highly industry focused with great opportunity to develop practical as well as academic skills. The course has eight units in the first year:<br/><br/>Animal Health and Welfare<br/>Business and Business Environment<br/>Animal Anatomy and Physiology<br/>Horse Husbandry<br/>Managing Equine facilities<br/>Animal Behaviour in Society<br/>Animal Nutrition<br/>Managing a Successful Project<br/>These develop core skills and knowledge in Equine Behaviour, Welfare and Husbandry.<br/>In the second year, students study units aimed at progression into equine industry specialisms.<br/>Core modules:<br/><br/>Research Project (30 credits)<br/>Biological Processes<br/>Anthrozoology<br/>Equine Health and Disease<br/>Work Experience<br/>Therapy and Rehabilitation<br/>Behavioural approaches to Equine Management<br/><br/>There will also be a range of option units at Level 5 available.<br/>Animal Health and Welfare<br/>Business and Business Environment<br/>Animal Anatomy and Physiology<br/>Horse Husbandry<br/>Management of Equine Facilities<br/>Equestrian Performance<br/>Marketing Essentials<br/>Managing a Successful Project<br/>These develop core skills and knowledge in Equine Business Skills, Welfare and Husbandry.<br/><br/>In the second year, students study units aimed at progression into equine industry specialisms.<br/>Core modules:<br/>Research Project (30 credits)<br/>Biological Processes<br/>Anthrozoology<br/>Equine Health and Disease<br/>Work Experience<br/>Therapy and Rehabilitation<br/>Managing and Running a Small Business<br/>Advanced Equestrian Performance<br/>Horse Event Management<br/><br/>The course will provide routes into employment in the equine Management industry or progression to BSc Top Up programmes at specialist Universities and Colleges in the UK.
