The York St John Linguistics & TESOL programme offers you an exciting opportunity to apply linguistic knowledge and related skills to the practical challenge of teaching English as a world language. You will develop an in depth understanding of the way that language works, from structural, social and cognitive perspectives, and how you can use this knowledge as an English language teacher in the UK and around the world. You will develop an in depth understanding of the way that language works, from structural, social and cognitive perspectives, and how you can use this knowledge as an English language teacher in the UK and around the world. As part of your programme, you will have the opportunity to take the internationally recognised CELTA* qualification (Cambridge ESOL Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). The cost of the CELTA is included.
