This course will run on the ARU Writtle campus.<br/><br/>Studying for a degree with an integrated foundation year will offer you a supportive environment if you have been out of education for a few years or do not have the necessary UCAS points from your recent course of study.<br/><br/>The foundation year (Year 0) will precede our standard 3-year degree course programmes and enables preparation for degree study. Youll study a range of modules that cover general academic skills, along with more subject-specific topics. <br/><br/>The purpose of this programme is to provide a balance of vocational and academic study that is intellectually challenging, vocationally relevant and provides clear foundations to pursue a progressive career in the field of Canine Therapy.<br/><br/>The BSc (Hons) in Canine Therapy will produce highly qualified practitioners specialised in various aspects of canine therapy (hydrotherapy, massage therapy). These are popular disciplines within the industry and students will acquire basic skills enabling them to pursue a career in any of these fields. Our highly qualified teaching team includes experienced veterinary physiotherapists and veterinary surgeons.<br/><br/>As a student at ARU Writtle, you’ll use specialist equipment in the Lordship Canine Centre, including a hydrotherapy pool and underwater treadmill. You’ll gain recognised skills in hydrotherapy as you take part in commercially run sessions with real cases, helping to compile structured care plans for injured or post-operative animals.<br/><br/>As a graduate of our Canine Therapy course, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to run your own business or work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
