The BSc in Fashion Management and Strategy focuses on developing leadership and innovation skills for fashion and lifestyle businesses. Students will learn about the global fashion system, data and digital strategy, consumer behaviour, finance for business, sustainable fashion management, and more. By the end of the course, students will have the skills to strategically lead and manage fashion businesses. The course is structured over three or four years (with an optional placement year in industry) and focuses on critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical projects applied to the fashion industry in its broadest sense, which includes garment, beauty and lifestyle businesses. <br/><br/>This course offers the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills in developing strategy for and managing fashion business with a values-based approach. This means considering the impact on people, animals, and the environment alongside understanding what it takes for a business to be creatively and financially successful. The course also focuses on developing students competency in collaboration, effective communication, as well as their business acumen, making graduates highly employable in leadership and innovator roles within the fashion industry. <br/><br/>Students on this course will study core units in The Fashion System, Data and Digital Strategy, Consumer Insights, Business Finance, Sustainable Fashion Management, Fashion Merchandising, Career Planning, and the course will culminate in each student undertaking major research project. <br/><br/>By the end of this course, graduates will be able to strategically plan for and manage fashion businesses with a values-based, ethical approach. They will have developed skills in collaboration, effective communication, digital strategy, data management, financial and product management. Additionally, they will be equipped to apply their learning through the development undertaken whilst working on live industry briefs, work placements, and their major project, preparing them for careers in leadership and innovation roles within the fashion industry.
