**About the course**<br/>This one-year top-up degree aimed at students who have studied practical media or arts subjects such as film making, art direction or creative media at either a foundation degree, HND or equivalent level. A three-year option is available for students holding A level or equivalent qualifications.<br/>This cutting-edge industry-led course has been developed from in-depth and ongoing industry feedback and input from all areas of production that reflects the current demand for industry ready, technically skilled students, who have the creative, logistical and production skills that are currently needed in industry. The growth in high end production for content providers such as Netflix, Amazon, Disney Plus and Apple TV in the UK supports the need for highly skilled graduates for industry. <br/><br/>This practical course provides students with an industry-relevant offering that includes a critical understanding of applied film theory, with current industry insight and practice in film production, and the creative and technical skills to function effectively in film, television and associated sectors such as music videos, advertising and short form content. <br/><br/>To ensure this professionalism is embedded in the curriculum the film school acts as a production house and the tutor as an executive producer to support the collaborative film production that begins in the first year and is realised in the graduation films in the students final year. MetFilm School is uniquely positioned amongst other higher education institutions in that students receive budgets to fund their projects throughout the course, supporting the development of high quality films through professional actors, hiring of locations and art direction.<br/><br/>As film production is continuously evolving, MetFilm School is constantly adapting to support the industry’s demands. The course’s intensive curriculum will challenge students to develop their skills and prepare them for the production world of today.
