From community placements to working in hospitals, youll gain a minimum of 1000 hours of placement to ensure that you are confident and competent for when you enter the professional sphere.<br/><br/>During your physiotherapy course, you’ll build a placement passport, which you can use as evidence to showcase the experience and versatility that youll gain throughout your three years with us. Youll develop your clinical skills and enhance your confidence when working with patients.<br/><br/>Here at CCCU, we are firm advocates for using evidence-based research and practice. You will too through our emphasis on quality improvement and leadership, as well as gaining other skills such as communication, problem-solving, and decision making. You’ll learn to adapt in a constantly evolving profession, ensuring that your practice remains current.<br/><br/>What’s more, you’ll be based in our state-of-the-art Verena Holmes building on our Canterbury Campus. You’ll gain inter-professional experience as you learn alongside students in other sectors including paramedics, radiographers, OTs, and ODPs.<br/><br/><strong>Professional accreditation</strong><br/><br/>The BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy is accredited and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) respectively. Successful completion of this programme provides eligibility to apply for registration with the HCPC and full membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.<br/><br/><strong>Specialist facilities</strong><br/><br/>As a healthcare student, you will have access to our specialist, industry-relevant, simulation facilities. <br/>Physiotherapy students will be taught practical hands-on skills in their own dedicated area of the simulation suite. These facilities include equipment you would be using out on placement, to develop the skills and knowledge you need in a realistic simulated environment.
