The BA (Hons) Acting for Screen is an intensive 2-year programme which is taught by working industry professionals. The course structure consists of a teaching style which favours and focuses on the practical elements of Screen Acting, where the practical projects mirror the film industry’s workflow and creative environments.<br/><br/>You will be able to develop your creative and performance skills, alongside your contextual knowledge. Whilst also being able to engage with the latest digital technologies to develop your skills and further inspire your creativity and ambition. Your assessments will be held in a fast-paced environment with a focus on practical, on set assessments to help you build your skills and confidence for industry work after graduation. During your studies you will also interact with experienced film industry professionals.<br/><br/>This course is taught by Central Film School and awarded by Falmouth University.<br/><br/><strong>Programme Overview:</strong><br/>- 2-year intensive fast-track programme including summer terms<br/><br/><br/>• Taught by working industry professionals allowing students to receive training to industry standard from people who have up-to-date knowledge.<br/><br/><br/><br/>70% of Central Film School graduates go on to work and /or further study 15 months after the course.<br/><br/>We are committed to providing our students every opportunity possible to speak directly with filmmakers of all kinds to learn about their journeys to becoming successful professionals in their chosen field.<br/><br/><strong>Professional Perspectives</strong> <br/><br/>We organise a series of events throughout the year where screen professionals tell their stories. In these sessions, a Guest Speaker is invited into the school to speak about their career and experience in the industry.<br/><br/>The Professional Perspectives series has recently welcomed guests such as:<br/>Jason Flemyng – Actor: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Boiling Point, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels<br/>Matt Jones – TV Screenwriter & Producer: Doctor Who, Shameless, Skins, Lucky Man<br/>Lucy Pardee – Casting Director: Aftersun, Rocks, American Honey, Dirty God<br/>Tim Haines – TV Drama and Documentary Maker: Walking with Dinosaurs, Primeval, The Loch<br/>Richard Hewitt: Film Producer: Bohemian Rhapsody, The Theory of Everything, Never Let Me Go, The Aeronauts
