It involves learning about memory, language, creativity, personality, social interaction and brain processes.<br/><br/>This course gives you a thorough understanding of both the theory and application of psychology, and prepares you for a professional career in psychology or any number of career opportunities.<br/><br/>In second year, students do have the option of undertaking Volunteering and Employability. Preferably including English or a Literary Subject*. If no literary subject is achieved at Higher, we will consider applications where National 5 English has been achieved at grade B or above. National 5 grade C in Maths (Applications of Maths also accepted). We also accept the University of Aberdeen Access to Maths SCQF level 5 course (https://on.abdn.ac.uk/courses/access-maths-5/). If you are eligible for an adjusted offer under our Contextual Admissions Policy, please see the ‘Minimum Qualification Requirements’ below.

Pass Access to HE Diploma with 45 credits overall, with minimum 33 credits at grade Merit & 12 credits at grade Distinction, preferably including English or a Literary subject* at Level 3. If a literary subject is not studied at Level 3, English must be studied at Level 2. Maths also required at Level 2.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Award of Diploma with 28 points overall with three HL subjects at grades 6, 5, 4, preferably including English or a Literary subject* at minimum grade 5. If no literary subject is achieved at HL, English must be achieved at SL grade 5. Grade 4 in SL Maths.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
DMM
Minimum grades DMM (Distinction, Merit, Merit) preferably in a related subject. If not in a related subject, we will consider applications where GCSE English has been achieved at grade B/5 or above. GCSE grade C/4 in Maths.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)
