Businesses do the same. <br/><br/>As a global Risk Manager, youll be a keen communicator, analytical, enjoy problem-solving and building relationships across the organisation. Put simply, a career in risk management involves general business management but specialises in risk. <br/><br/>Generally, roles and responsibilities involve working with an organisations stakeholders to determine the potential opportunities and uncertainties facing businesses. A Risk Manager will evaluate these and develop suitable strategies to either reduce the uncertainties or enhance a business’s ability to capitalise on those risks. <br/><br/>If you are interested in any business subject, including operational and strategic management, public relations and media crises or business administration, this Risk Management degree offers you the ability to explore these issues from an industry-led perspective. <br/><br/>A Risk Management graduate can expect to earn an average starting salary of £25 - £30,000. The unique feature of this industry is that its specialist focus means the career ladder for graduates is relatively quick and alumni have reached much higher salaries within five years of graduating. <br/><br/>Youll gain professional qualifications while studying for this degree. This is highly attractive to employers and makes you even more prepared for entering the workplace. Our modules and learning strategy focus on building job-specific practical skills and you can expect to learn techniques such as Business Continuity and Crisis Management, Project Risk Management and International Risk Management. <br/><br/><strong>Accreditation</strong> <br/><br/>The BA (Hons) Risk Management course is accredited by the CII, the worlds largest professional body for insurance, risk and financial services. You’ll be offered free student membership of the CII, which gives you access to online resources and local industry and networking events. You’ll also have the option of taking certain additional CII units at a discounted rate. <br/><br/><strong>Bloomberg Suite</strong> <br/><br/>While studying on this course, you’ll have access to our Bloomberg Suite where you’ll experience an environment where the real world of business and finance is brought into the classroom. Graduates of this course have gone on to work in Project Risk Management and worked on developments such as HS2 as well as large international corporations like GSK, Morgan Stanley, Lloyds of London, Aviva, Turner & Townsend, Mott MacDonald, Faithful + Gould, Stantec and PwC.
