The course is accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists, so you can be confident you’ll graduate ready for your career.</strong><br/><br/>You’ll undertake a minimum of 250 placement hours during the course, giving you the skills and experience that employers are looking for. Focus on practical and professional skills, as well as the wider academic knowledge and theory underpinning the practice.<br/><br/>Learn from industry professionals, as you gain the practical hands-on skills and theoretical knowledge you need in sports therapy, medicine, exercise, science and research. <br/><br/>Build your patient examination and assessment abilities, injury management, and rehabilitation plans in sport, health, and exercise settings. <br/><br/>Experience our sports performance campus to learn where youll practice pitch-side first aid, work in our student-led sports injury clinic and complete a valuable final year external placement. <br/><br/>Develop your skills and professional network through on-campus opportunities and external placements, preparing you for a career as an independent graduate sports therapist. <br/><br/>Hartpury University covers the cost of your student membership, DBS and first aid training giving you access to resources and student insurance for supervised placements. <br/><br/><strong>Accreditation</strong><br/>This course is accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists (SST). This means that, on graduation you’ll be eligible to join the SST as a graduate to apply for membership and professional liability insurance. <br/><br/><strong>CIMSPA Endorsement</strong><br/><br/>This course is endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), recognising the alignment of our programme with professional standards in the industry. Throughout your studies, you will work towards key CIMSPA-endorsed standards:<br/><br/>Level 4 (year one) – Health Navigator<br/>Level 5 (year two) – Personal Trainer Practitioner<br/>Level 6 (final year) – Advanced Personal Trainer Practitioner, achieved through standards in Working with Women and Girls and Working with People with Long-Term Conditions.<br/><br/>Student CIMSPA membership is fully funded during your course, giving you access to sector-specific guidance, professional resources, and career development opportunities. Upon achieving these standards, graduates are required to transition to a full professional CIMSPA membership to maintain their qualifications.

BBC or equivalent from at least two full A Levels. This must include Biology, Sport or PE at grade D or above.
T Level
An overall grade of Distinction, to include grade B or above in the Core component in a Science subject. T Level subjects considered are Animal Care and Management (Science Pathway), Healthcare Science and Science. Health will be considered on an individual basis.
