It is our belief that what this sector needs is a workforce that is made up of critically thinking professionals with a deep understanding of how people’s health and social care needs arise and the creativity and drive to design, deliver and lead services to challenge these. <br/><br/>Social justice lies at the heart of this course which aims to develop professionals with a critical understanding of how social inequalities arise and the knowledge, values and passion to bring about change. It has been developed with input from a range of Health and Social Care professionals and organisations to ensure a curriculum that addresses key contemporary issues in the field. The course is designed for those wishing to pursue a career in Health and Social Care or those already working in the sector who are looking to enhance and develop their career. <br/><br/>Studying Special Educational Needs (SEN) with Liverpool Hope at Holy Cross will enable you to understand the relationship between disability and education and provide you with the knowledge and confidence to educate others about the nature of disability. SEN incorporates insights from disability studies and education, as well as drawing on work in the arts and humanities, to ensure you gain a broad and balanced understanding of education in a wide range of contexts.
