Dietitians make a vital contribution to peoples health and wellbeing. You’ll develop skills in critical evaluation and adaptability to prepare for the changing dynamics of working in health and social care. <br/><br/>As part of this course, you’ll:<br/>• Explore the composition of food, the nature of nutrients and their metabolism in the body, nutritional requirements throughout the lifespan and the dietary effects of food on health<br/>• Learn how to work alongside service users with acute and chronic disease in hospitals and primary care settings<br/>• Prepare to meet the responsibilities and expectations associated with being a healthcare professional<br/>• Consider the ethical and legal boundaries arising from exercising a professional duty of care<br/><br/>Occupational Health clearance and compliance with standard NHS immunisations requirements is mandatory and essential for placement attendance.<br/><br/>**Professionally regulated**<br/>The HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council) regulates dietetics. The title of Dietitian is protected by law. This means that anyone who uses this designated title must be on the HCPC Register.
